Bay Rum is a multi-purpose aromatic lotion made from the Bay leaf (Pimenta racemosa). It is a simple combination of bay oil and alcohol and is said to have several medicinal qualities which has kept it one of Grandma's home remedies. It is more commonly used as an after shave or after bath splash. Few Dominican households are without it.
